• my bio

I guess I have been a visual kind of guy for as long as I remember, although I only did my first professional shoot in 1996.

I started out shooting that which I was most passionate about – plants. While plants and their surrounds remain my first love, I have broadened my focus. I enjoy the thrill of capturing the perfect moments of a wedding, the challenge of a crowded function room and the creative tug when setting up a pic that really does tell a thousand words.

  • Functions & Events

Corporate Functions, Golf Days, End Year Functions, 21st Birthdays. To perform as a professional in events photography you need to be able to handle the pressure of shooting in the moment – you may have a vague sequence of events, but you need to keep on your toes to capture those expressive moment. Truth be told I find them a lot of fun.

  • Weddings

I tend to take a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography, endeavouring to capture the magic of the day as it unfolds, in a professional, yet unobtrusive manner. That said it is still important to capture the couple and their party in memorable settings to help preserve those special memories.

  • Travel and Wildlife

Travelling our beautiful country, continent and the world is something I doubt I’ll ever tire of. Bringing out the best of my surround just ads to the enjoyment. While I don’t shoot much wildlife on a professional basis I adore being in the bush and surrounded by nature – naturally I try to interpret this though my lens.
